PRESS RELEASE

ND-App, affordable personalised neurodiversity profiler, launches on App Store and Google Play.

An app to identify challenges that may be preventing employment, or progression in the workplace for those with neurodiverse conditions – now available for iOS and Android devices.

ND-App is released July 2019 as an interactive app by UK based Do-IT Solutions Ltd. to screen for traits associated with neurodiverse conditions. Conditions include Dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), ADHD, Dyscalculia, Developmental Language Disorders and Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (also known as Dyspraxia). The state-of-the-art app is for those in, or about to start employment. ND-App can help provide a better understanding of an individuals’ strengths and potential challenges relating to neurodiversity and enable successful employment outcomes.

The launch of ND-App into the tech-for-good space disrupts the profile screening market with the first app of its kind. The app uses technology determined by 20 years intelligence gathering working with a wide range of employers and employees. It has been developed in recognition of the lack of support for challenges relating to neurodiversity. Historically, assessments have tended to diagnose isolated conditions and can be inaccessible or prohibitively expensive for many. ND-App adopts a whole-person approach giving individuals a better understanding of themselves. This can lead the way to the first steps to support bridging the gap between a full assessment or nothing at all.

Professor Amanda Kirby, CEO of Do-IT, commented “It’s as if everybody has recently woken up to the fact that nearly 1 in 6 of the population are neurodiverse. Traditional approaches to screening support a deficit model focusing primarily on problems. ND-App looks to unlock an individuals’ strengths and potential, offering insight and practical guidance democratizing the screening process for all.

On reviewing the app, Katrina Cochrane, CEO of Positive Dyslexia and assessor for the British Dyslexia Association, said, “The app is quick and easy to use with a voice over feature that makes it very suitable for anyone with reading difficulties. Results are colourfully presented and easily understood. Not all adults need a full diagnostic assessment, and this will be a helpful starting point for those who need signposting for additional support.”

ND-App is available on iOS and Android for a one-off payment of £7.99 for a personalised report with useful strategies and recommendations. Complementary ND-App tools due for release by Do-IT Solutions Ltd. Qtr. 4, 2019 include Dyslexia+ and ND-Profiler 7-16 for parents.
