Types of data we collect

Website Cookies

Our websites use cookies to collect information.  This includes information about browsing behaviour by people who access our websites.  This includes information about pages viewed and the visitor journey around our websites.

Google Analytics

When someone visits we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our webinars, events and for subscribing to we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about the stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about (such as the event or webinars you’ve subscribed to, future relevant events and our newsletter); to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.

We use a common WordPress Plugin – called Ninja Forms – to pass your information through to our preferred email communication tool MailChimp. None of your information is stored in Ninja Forms.

We use MailChimp to deliver the bulk of our emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our emails. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Alan Walker.

Who we share information with

We may share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly co-hosts for our webinars and events, who use this to analyse our audience attendance demographics.

For some webinars and events that you register for, we also ask your permission to share personal identifying information with our co-hosts, to allow them to send you information that is relevant to the webinar or event you subscribed to. Where we do this, we will be clear what exactly we will be sharing and with whom it will be shared with.
